St. Joseph’s Youth Minister helps teens better know, love, and serve God. Faith life doesn’t stop after Confirmation. God calls each of us to a lifelong, authentic relationship with Him. By encouraging teens to know and love God and giving them opportunities to serve, we hope to revolutionize teen culture and form young disciples. Teens in 8th grade and older are invited to join our three main activities- Ignite Night, Service Saturday, and YDisciple.
Join us for YDisciple, Service Saturday, or Ignite. Anyone in 8th-12th grade is welcome!
Service Saturday encourages kids to take time to learn and live out the Corporal Works of Mercy. The Corporal Works of Mercy are found in the teachings of Jesus and model how we treat all others as if they were Jesus in disguise. (Matthew 25:31-46)
YDisciple is a weekly small group meeting for kids who would like to grow deeper in their faith and learn more about the teachings of Catholicism. Kids meet at the time and place best for each small group and all resources are provided by St. Josephs. Kids can join or start your own small group at any time of the year.
St. Ignatius of Loyola said, “Laugh and grow strong." Ignite Night is a party full of controlled chaos and laughter, where kids can enjoy time with friends. During the night we share the message of God’s love for them and encourage them to be who God meant them to be. As St. Catherine of Siena said, “Be who God meant you to be and you will set the world on fire.” Every evening ends with a challenge for students to dive deeper into their faith by reading Scripture and participating in the Sacraments.
Blest Day Ever is a party with a purpose for kids in grades 5th-8th. Held twice a year, these nights are packed full of crazy games, great speakers, amazing food, worship music, and the beauty of the Sacraments.
Blest Week Ever continues the fun of Blest Day Ever for a whole week. During the week we focus on serving our family, community, and world. All while having a crazy good time!
