Replacement books are $15.00. We gave out the textbooks in the 7th grade.
Please stay up with the class. We are on chapter 16 at this point. This may be confusing since I am the teacher and the DRE, but I am helping the students keep ahead of the assignments. I had assigned the #1 essay below and it is due to me next weekend.
They are turning in the first essay concerning Baptism on Nov. 15. This copy can be handwritten for the teacher. But as the DRE, the final that the student turns in on Feb 21 will need to be combined together with the other essays and typed up double spaced, font size 12, and two pages.
Other individually handwritten or typed essays are due to the teacher:
You can have the kids finish them early. During the holidays or covid breaks. These should be 5-6 sentences a topic. Please have them ready to answer questions on each of these topics when speaking to Father about the essays. He asks things like, how did this saint earn sainthood? What was so special about her or him? So have them do some research. It does not need to be a book report, but have them know the major details.

CONFIRMATION INTERVIEW
Before Confirmation, interviews with Father Trapp will be conducted. All interviews must be
scheduled through Sign-Up Genius or with Maria Vonada at the parish office (614-873-8850) in
advance. Students should be prepared to answer questions that Father Trapp will ask. A parent or
sponsor must attend this interview. The following dates and times have been allotted for the
interviews:
Vocabulary:
We have gone through the Holy Spirit vocabulary words and the 7 Gifts of the Holy Spirit. Each student has 10-15 minutes at the end of class to review the words and begin on the Saint or the Essay. So please assign the student that is participating in at-home study time to study the vocabulary and the essays. Everyone will need to do the bulk of the essays and the vocabulary at home. We only have a few extra minutes to spend on those activities.
Church Service Hours:
The Director can use help in the PSR rooms and in her office with work. Ask if she needs any help.
The Women's Walking With Purpose could use set up help on Wednesday nights at 6:30 pm and takedown at 8:30 pm. Check the Bulletin for the leaders to call to arrange the help.
Keep an eye on Bulletin to see if there are other activities that we need for setting up and takedown.
Extra Service hours papers are online as well as the instructions and the other Commitment papers!! Check it all out! https://saintjosephplaincity.com/confirmation-forms
The 7th and 8th graders can only miss 7 classes. They still have to watch the content at home if they miss a class!
